Las Vegas was extremely hot and definitely affected during the Pandemic. As I traveled during the Labor Day weekend full of dreams of parties, concerts, and a few shows like Vegas has always been notorious for, I found myself less impressed with the city of bright lights than ever before. Food prices are crazy high as expected of the strip, but to even go into your everyday chain restaurant you are looking at over inflated prices and long wait lines. On the bright side I went on an awesome helicopter tour at night but even with a reservation we still experienced a long wait both getting on the main attraction and trying to get the included shuttle ride back to our respective accommodations. I stayed at the beautiful Caesar's Palace and had an awesome view and a beautiful room with a jet tub, however the jets would not turn on and as a result of the drastic cut in revenue it has become very apparent that a lot of the casinos had to cut back on staff, room service, and jackpot winnings. All of the Caesar's line has switched their "room service" to ordering food from the expensive restaurants in the casino where you pay $30 for a $15 burger only to be charged and additional $17 service fee, plus a $15 delivery fee and then they have the nerve to put a mandatory tip option. As a solo traveler it was pretty impossible to reserve anything for 1 so I ended up reserving for 2 and making up an excuse for the missing person. Lastly, I was severely disappointed by the tour operator Coexist West Coast as I paid $299 for a tour that no one seemed to want to contact me to attend, thankfully my tour affiliate Viator was able to allow me to cancel for a full refund. BRUNO MARS MAY HAVE BEEN THE HIGHLIGHT OF MY TRIP! Bruno is one hell of a performer and he even had Babyface as a surprise guest. Check Bruno out if you want a good treat! If you just want to stay in the room and gamble Vegas at this time is perfect for you especially if you happen to have a lot of money you're just trying burn.
Brand new hotel property opening in September in the heart of Downtown Nashville, TN near all of the Nashville's historical "Honky-tonk" district. Stay at the beautiful NEW W Nashville for 5 days, 4 nights at $1181 includes airfare and car (prices vary based on dates). Nashville has a special place in my heart because it is my hometown and all of my family lives there. Nashville is a very inclusive city with lots of good food like our famous "hot" chicken (strongly suggest you check out the originators Prince's Hot Chicken chain or Hattie B's Hot Chicken), take a stroll through the country's only replica of the Parthenon centrally located in Centennial Park, grab food in The Gulch located in Nashville's historical German Town, or discover the history of Black Excellence along Jefferson street where you are likely to find Fisk University, see part of Meharry Medical College (known as one of the first Black Medical Schools). Nashville is much more than country music or drunken tractor rides (all available if your interested) it full with culture, art, and what makes it the Music City can be found on West End Road where you will see all of the Copywrite Companies where all forms of music are legally protected.
I went to NYC for four days and it was hot, not too crowded, and informative. NYC is one of the cities that is implementing more COVID restriction policies ie, face masks, Vaccinated ONLY events, and beginning next month you will have to show proof of vaccination to be seated in restaurants throughout the city. Couple of suggestions is to make sure that if you go to see the Statue of Liberty they are NOT allowing guided tour groups to go inside of Lady Liberty however, you can purchase tickets at the pier to go inside individually, and if you plan to utilize the Hard Rock Café and Madam Tussauds package to be sure to go to the Museum first for the food voucher. The Edge NYC is a must see as it has this cool view of the city and a SPECIAL elevator ride to the top, but (BE PREPARED FOR LONG LINES EVEN IF YOU HAVE A TIME TICKET) See the video below for trip highlights Vegas needs no introduction as it's filled with lots of opportunities for anyone daring to try their chance whether it's gambling, love, or adventure!
