As Summer travel will start to get a little more hectic. Here are a few tips to ensure you maximize your fun time on the beach or wherever your dream destination might be:
1. Avoid high trafficked airports ie, La Guardia, Chicago O'Hare, Atlanta Hartsfield 2. Ensure that you arrive at the airport at least 2 hours in advance not matter if your travel is Domestic or International. 3. Utilize the Global Entry program (TSA Pre-Check is complimentary as long as you select it). Many credit card companies ie, American Express Platinum will credit you the application fee back. 4. Register for CLEAR at available airport (mostly everyone is TSA Pre-Check now) 5. Review your passport expiration date and ensure you have at least 6 months remaining as many countries with not allow you entry if expiring within 6 months. Check the U.S. Department of State website for different country requirements. Remember that some countries will require a VISA in addition to your passport! 6. Purchase Travel Medical Insurance if traveling outside the US as many countries do NOT accept your normal coverage. Policies can range anywhere from $25 to $100.

Cartagena, Colombia was a beautiful, vibrant, and inviting place. Full of smiles, gorgeous murals and it wasn't uncommon to hear people shout the word "hermosa" your way. Hermosa in Spanish means Beautiful in English and despite the over population of street vendors encountered along the way being called "hermosa" didn't feel like a sales pitch and instead left a touch of authenticity of the fact that this city actually embraces it's layer of multicultural influences often rarely seen throughout the world. Colombia is extremely affordable and although I was only there for a few hours it left a mark on me to visit again very soon. Continue to visit our page to see other trip/location reviews. We had the pleasure of visiting this beautiful place. The sun was shining the whole time and the beach was gorgeous. Stayed at the Hotel Riu Palace Antilles (disregard my previous review) because this place was amazing. Had a fun party, kept it clean, and the food was AMAZING. Three things to note
1. It gets hot as balls there and the wind stays on all day every day so beware of blowing sand. 2. Everyone speaks English but you will hear a lot of Espanol. Se Habla Espanol. 3. You will NOT want to leave because it is really a vibe, but it's NOT cheap. No need to change currency either. I definitely will plan to visit again to explore more life out in town my next visit since I paid for an All Inclusive I ate all of my meals at the resort. Oh my transportation was TRUELY #FirstClassAruba check them out! I got a Round Trip transfer from the Airport and back for $180. They even offer expedited services for your trip back (YOU WILL NEED IT IF YOU DON'T LIKE LINES) Hit them up on Instagram and they are completely legit even backed by the Aruba Travel Board. I had the distinct pleasure of joining a group of around 20 other travelers all from the TN, USA area in Johannesburg and Cape Town South Africa. I can tell you that I loved every moment I experienced on this trip and our USD to South African Rand is quite outstanding. The food, the people, and the culture reminded me of how no matter where Black people are in the world we are some amazing and ingenious people on this planet. I will let my video's do the rest of my talking regarding this trip to this beautiful place.
We are so excited to have our first journey to the continent of our ancestors soon! We will be traveling to Cape Town and Johannesburg soon and are looking forward to giving you a first hand review of this trip. Until then keep "Fluttering to Your Dreams"!
Listen....When I tell you had a blast on my first cruise with Virgin Voyages words simply cannot explain the level of service, inclusion, fun, and overall experience. First off for my solo cruisers they do NOT charge a double occupancy rate and there are so many activities to help you meet people that will become life long friends to cruise with in the future. Virgin Voyages is an Adults Only experience and with that being said their services cater specifically to the Adults that want to have a good time whether you just want to lounge around the pool and spend that courtesy bonus $300 bar tab (YOU READ THAT RIGHT!), check out a show where you will more than likely be invited to participate in, or total party animal they got you covered with late night parties often starting after 11pm. All food and drinks are delivered right to you and prepared made to order even with unique drink pairings. Never feeling left out they have that extra flair for those on a sober journey like me offering non-alcoholic choices beyond sugary juices. Honestly, I only have two negative things and they really weren't Virgin Voyages fault. We were unable to check out their exclusive beach club in Bimini due to inclement weather and the disembark process was delayed by two hours due to the Boarder Patrol Customs taking their time with clearing us. Check out some highlights from my sailing with the Resilient Lady out of Miami and do yourself a favor, click that inquiry button.
Tired of going on cruises with the sound of children all around or buffet lines galore? Then try out Virgin Voyages with sailings from Miami or Los Angeles with an ADULTS ONLY vibe. All passengers must be 18 with a person 21 and over present. Book now for extra savings and perks like $300 onboard credit bar tab and special rates if you are a Florida resident.
